Addicted to the Matterhorn

Once you have seen the Matterhorn you'll not want to go anywhere else. I promise you. It does not feel right to leave the Matterhorn behind. The feeling that I won't see this spectacular mountain for one year makes me sad. The view is just breathtaking from the village of Zermatt but even better from the slopes. I cannot get enough of the Matterhorn. It is the most beautiful peek in Switzerland and in fact the whole world. There is no better place on earth to ski. 

Lunch at Bontadini

Haters gonna hate - but I just have to share this picture with you. This was my lunch at Bontadini today. It is a restaurant not far from Testa Grigia right at a slope. This Truffle Risotto was so delicious - just a proper skiing meal.

Winter Wonderland at the Matterhorn

Usually I am not really a skiing fan! Why? Well there are several reasons: it is cold sometimes even very cold, you have to wear an extra 5kg in cloth and you hardly get any sun when it snows. But this changes when I see the Matterhorn.

New Phone - New Cover

I am so excited that I finally received the iPhone 6. It's faster, bigger, has more storage and the camera is better too. Superb - but with the different size of the phone I cannot use the iphone 5 covers so I needed a new one. Unfortunately there is not so much of a choice since the phone is so new. But I am in London- there is nothing that I cannot get. At Victoria's Secret I found this and I liked a lot. It's pink, cute and practical...

Christmas Decorations all wrapped up

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. When the christmas lights are up, everything is so christmassy and everywhere I go there is a smell of cinnamon and other spices in the air. But what I love the most is how much effort is involved by making the city even more beautiful. Cartier for example wrapps the whole building in a big bow and it just looks stunning. #merrychristmas

Last week the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place in London for the first time. I was so excited and followed every step of the angels on instagram. London is crazy when it comes to cars! If you want to see unique cars, you have to walk around Harrods. Especially in Knightsbridge there are many petrol heads who love their cars more than anything in the world. And what they love even more? Attention.

Name Search at Chanel

Just so you know: I am looking for the black calfskin leather Espadrilles with the silver Camelia Flower on the CC Logo in size 39! There you have it - I am calling Chanel several times a week at several Central London Stores but none of them receive them or I am to late and they have already sold out on the one in my size by 10:30 in the morning (they open at 10). That is as quickly as tickets to the soccer worldcup finale. I know the comparison is strange Soccer and Chanel but just to give you an idea how hard it is to get these shoes. Unbelievable. At the Sloane Street Chanel Boutique I checked the other day - No luck. But I spotted something else. A wall full of names. These names are the most popular first names in the US and instantly I was looking for mine.

Here is one more Sweet Treat Guide Location. The Lokum Istanbul Store sells the best turkish delights in the city. I don't know anything about turkish delights but I can tell from the demand of the arab women in London that they love it because they buy them in bulk.

I love sunglasses - they are like shoes and bags - you simply can't have enough. Last week there was a christmas sale at Chelsea's Beaufort House hosting several London brands like Yolke, Hamilton and Hare, Marina, Blake London and Taylor Morris Eyewear.  

Do we like matching Shoes and Nails?

The answer is YES - we do or at least I do! The only problem is that the Nail Polish by Christian Louboutin is sold out everywhere. It is more like a decoration in the shops because if you lift one up and look for the name it only says : SOLD OUT. I was very disappointed that I did not even get one colour after being in three Boutiques but in the end I was successful after all (in the forth store). I will reveal what colours I got after "Nikolaus". So stay tuned.

Time for Magazines and a Manicure

Weekends are perfect for manicures and for reading a book or a magazine. The new Harrods Magazine is out so I will bring my weekend activity forward and do it today. For my manicure I have chosen these two colours by Essie: "status symbol" & "tart deco" because the perfectly reflect the colour of my roses.

Proper Weekend Breakfast at Kaffeine

On the weekends I love to go out and have a proper breakfast! My London absolute favourite is Kaffeine - still the best Bircher Müsli out there. And the Banana Bread is amazing. I baked it so often at home but could not manage to get near the fabulous taste of this moist cake. And do not get me started on the Cappuccino. Head over here for great coffee and company.

There is one more store that I would like to show you. It is just around the corner from Kaviar Gauche and is beautiful. They not only sell their own label, it is a hip concept store that has it all. 

Ginkgo Trees at Prenzlauer Berg

How pretty are these leafs? When I was at Betty'n Caty the other day I noticed that these bright yellow Ginkgo leafs are everywhere. They are so beautiful and they also brighten up the appearance of the street. They should plant them throughout the whole city. Berlin would glow like the sun during fall. 

Cheesecake Heaven at Princess Cheesecake Berlin

Coffee is essential for me as you know, so what goes best with it? Cheesecake. This Berlin-Mitte Café has 20 different cheese cakes from New York Style Cheesecake to Pumpkin Cheesecake and to my favourite Lemon Cheesecake Tart. This time I tried the Cheesecake with Caramel - Yum yum yum - this is heaven. You have to go there when your in the cake mood.

Breakfast at Milchhalle

In Berlin as well as in London the "Coffee Culture" is amazing. On every corner there is an independent coffee shop which serves great coffee (mostly Bonanza Coffee). One of them is the Milchhalle. This cozy Berlin Mitte Cafe offers lovely breakfast, freshly baked cakes, bircher müsli, crunchy croissants, freshly squeezed juices and proper Cappuccino. I am a frequenter so I always pay them a visit when I am in Berlin.

Berlin Fall of the Wall Celebration

Happy Fall of the Wall everyone! 25 years have passed since West Berlin and East Berlin have united. On sunday night there was an installation along the Berlin Wall where they released the balloons to celebrate this special anniversary. This picture was taken in front of the East Side Gallery. It's official - fall has arrived. With the last days of summer being over and christmas almost here it is time for fall. Have a look at this beauty. I totally prefer summer over fall but this is simply stunning and full of colours.

The London Granola - my secret recipe

Yum Yum - I love Granola, Bircher Müsli and all other types of Müsli. But since I am cutting down on carbs I needed a granola without oats. So I created this only Nut Granola. This is my "London Granola".

London loves RED

Red is definitely a british color. The busses are red, the mailboxes and the phone boxes are as well and the union jack has also red in it. You see that red is a dominant color in the english capital. The doors in London are also very colorful and red is very popular as seen on this door. This is a typical London entrance - isn't it beautiful?

It's Christmas at Selfridges

Crazy! It is not even November and the christmas decorations have already begun. Actually I don't mind because I love the lights and the christmassy stuff but what I don't like is that I have to wait two month for the presents. Well I will get over it, in the meantime I'll get into the christmas mood and enjoy London's decorations on the streets and in the windows such as this at Selfridges. A golden taxi brings all the presents. I like that. 

LOVE is on the streets

Shortly after the Frieze Art Fair I discovered the famous red LOVE Sculpture in front of the 45 Park Lane Hotel in London. I always wanted to see it live. I have seen so many pictures when this iconic pop art piece was displayed in New York and since then I was keen on seeing it. So if somebody feels the same way, go to 45 Park Lane and check out the Love Sculptures of Robert Indiana. 

Me and my Mint Tea

The weather in London could not be better. In fact, I am still sitting outside and have breakfast. It is lovely. Me and my mint tea are enjoying it. This vintage china has so much history and is so cute. Everytime I come to Cocomaya I'll get a different design. Such a cute idea and it is always a surprise which one I get. I especially like their Chelsea branch on Pavillion Road, close to Sloane Square. For sugar addicts this is definitely the place to go.

If you have a soft spot for jewellery, I promise you that you'll go crazy in this Chelsea Boutique. Butler & Wilson celebrate their 45th anniversary this year, so they have been in the vintage and jewellery business long enough to know what's good. This store will blow your mind.
